Meet Jim – Founder & Principal Designer
With over four decades of experience spanning construction, engineering, and architectural design, Jim brings a depth of knowledge and a passion for craftsmanship that defines everything we do at Praxis Design. He launched his first construction and design firm in 1999, building a strong reputation for quality, integrity, and client-focused service.
In 2022, Jim founded Praxis Design with a renewed vision: to blend thoughtful, functional design with a deeply personalized experience. As a hands-on owner, Jim remains actively involved in every project, ensuring that each design reflects the highest standards of excellence. His leadership, dedication, and eye for detail continue to shape the spaces—and the relationships—that set Praxis apart.
Erika McDonald | Design Manager
Erika’s passion for residential design began early—sparked by the floor plans her parents would bring home while designing their own custom home. That curiosity quickly grew into a career. With an Associate’s degree in Drafting and Design, seven years of industry experience, and hundreds of completed home plans, Erika combines creativity with technical expertise to help clients bring their dream homes to life.
